Meet Lisa | Found Cottage Team

Introducing myself doesn’t come easy for me.  It’s not that I’m shy or not social it just feels awkward putting on “paper” who I am and what part I take in this shop of ours.  If you visit us at our store you may have met me or have seen me running around the store.  I’m the senior member of the team.

I’m a wife first.  To a hard working man who’s been a business owner for most of our 36 years of marriage.  I still work for his business, although he would probably say not near enough since opening the store.  I say, I get the work done, I’m just fast!

I’m a mother second.  We have a beautiful daughter.  Tessa works at the store and I love that she’s a part of our business.  My son in law Eric is a gift from above and together they have given us the most incredible gift.  2 grandsons, Zane and Leo.  These people are my life.  There is nothing more important to me than my family.

I’m a shop owner third.  I’m the one in the office.  I’m also one of the lucky ones that gets to see a dream come true.  My love for decorating was handed down to me by my mother.  I have many memories of her painting cabinets and furniture, collecting antiques and having a very fashion forward  flare for decorating.  My favorite part of my job is hunting down home decor that I can share with you.  Mixing antiques, vintage and new finds makes me happy.

Lastly, I can’t leave without telling you about my partners.  Without them none of this could have happened.  We question sometimes how this relationship works.  We never come up with a good reason.  It just does.  Liz is my niece and we joked and dreamed about opening a store since she was about nine years old.  Neither one of us can believe it actually happened.  Abby is my friend and the final link that makes all this work so well.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting us on this journey and making our dreams come true. ❤️

Love your story and your dream! I myself am newly retired but not ready to quit working. I’ve started a small vintage market business with hopes of having a small store soon. I’m excited for what the future holds. From one senior to another…we rock! Thanks for the inspiration!!!!
