April Frost – Never Felt Better

April Frost – Never Felt Better

Grand Rapids, MI by way of small town South Dakota – Australia – New Zealand – Europe.

Since graduating college in 2006, I hadn’t been able to stay in one place for long.  After years of travel and graduate school, I met my husband and settled in Grand Rapids, MI.  A few short years later I found myself a stay-at-home mom itching for an outlet I had previously found in travel.  I initially began my craft by making felt flowers for my daughter’s first birthday.  Shortly thereafter I came across fiber art and was in love.  I taught myself macrame basics and found myself lost in knot tying and fiber dying.  Working with fiber came to me as a creative challenge, keeping my hands and mind busy.

Since beginning I haven’t been able to stop.  I love the design, the repetition, the challenge.  I get a high from knowing I’ve created something that will grace a home, adding character to a special space.  Each item is made with careful and deliberate energy – the unique beauty of handmade.
